FEATURES + MENTIONS
Flow, Form & Frequencies
A community-driven art and music series co-created and curated by Kristen Allicock.
Flow, Form & Frequencies is a multidisciplinary art and music experience I co-created to make space for artists to gather with intention, share their work, and connect beyond the pressures of performance, visibility, and constant output. Rooted in care and collaboration, the series exists as an alternative to traditional showcases—one that values process, presence, and genuine creative exchange.
My role within Flow, Form & Frequencies spans concept development, curation, artist selection, visual direction, and community building. Each edition is shaped through thoughtful programming that brings visual art, music, and conversation into dialogue with one another.
-
FFF was born from a desire to cultivate creative spaces that feel human, inclusive, and artist-centered. We envisioned a series where artists could arrive as they are, without the pressure to perform perfection or compete for attention and where audiences could engage with art in a slower, more meaningful way.
The name itself reflects this ethos:
Flow — the intuitive, emotional movement of creativity
Form — the physical and visual expressions of artistic practice
Frequencies — the energy, sound, and shared vibration that emerges when people gather
-
As a visual artist and curator, I approach Flow, Form & Frequencies with a focus on:
Multidisciplinary collaboration across visual art, music, and sound
Uplifting Black and marginalized creative voices
Creating safe, welcoming environments rooted in trust and respect
Encouraging dialogue, experimentation, and creative risk
Each edition is intentionally curated to feel intimate, reflective, and connected. Less like an event, and more like a shared experience.
-
Flow, Form & Frequencies typically includes:
Visual art installations or exhibitions
Live music, DJ sets, and immersive soundscapes
Artist conversations or facilitated moments of exchange
A relaxed, gallery-meets-listening-room atmosphere
-
Through Flow, Form & Frequencies, I aim to:
Support artists at various stages of their practice
Build sustainable, community-driven creative ecosystems
Challenge extractive or performative models within arts spaces
Create moments of rest, reflection, and resonance
This series is an extension of my broader artistic and curatorial practice. One rooted in storytelling, cultural awareness, and collective care.
